How long does it take to create a custom Analogue?

The design process may be fast or slow, depending on the customer’s experience with the process, degree of customization requested and whether the customer requests counseling prior to welcoming a new analogue into the workplace or home. The biological process of creating the new life form, of  transforming individual nucleotides into genes and chromosomes, and, finally into a human analogue, takes approximately 2 weeks, while the education and enculturation process of the completed analogue – hastened by Modern Prometheus' proprietary techniques - takes approximately one month.

Are Analogues sexually functional?

As functional as you want them to be! An analogue created for a personal relationship might be endowed with an active libido and sexual organs tailor-made to the customer’s specific tastes. Whereas analogues created for the workplace would typically not be designed to have a strong sexual drive or provocative anatomy.

Can Analogues reproduce?

A reproduction license is available from Modern Prometheus as an option, at extra cost. Basic Analogues sold without a reproduction license are infertile. Any attempt to imbue an Analogue with the capacity to reproduce, without a reproduction license from Modern Prometheus, will void its warranty. Any successful attempts at unauthorized reproduction is a violation of Modern Prometheus' intellectual property rights and all applicable patents.

What is the life expectancy of an Analogue?

A target life expectancy can be specified by the customer and designed into the Analogue. A desired biological cause of death may also be chosen. However, Modern Prometheus cannot warrant  that any Analogue will survive as long, or succumb within, the targeted life span. Neither can Modern Prometheus guarantee that an Analogue will succumb to the desired cause of death. As living creatures, Analogues are prone to the same random biological events – genetic mutations that cause cancer, for instance – as are human beings. The purchase price of an analogue will be refunded on a basis prorated by the years of shortfall in its actual lifespan compared to its purchased life expectancy. Modern Prometheus shall not be liable, and will make no refund, for Analogue deaths occurring as a result of accidents, trauma or life-style indiscretions (smoking, obesity) deemed to have been induced by the owner.

What is the legal status of Human Analogues?

The legal status of Analogues is not yet clearly defined by U.S. or international convention. Until the legal status is clearly defined within an owner’s jurisdiction, the prudent owner is advised to treat Analogues as natural human beings with regard to rights and courtesies, while at the same time registering Analogues acquired on the primary or secondary markets as personal property in the Modern Prometheus owners’ database.

Do Analogues come with a Warranty & Guarantee?

Does any living thing? Remember, this is not a television or an automobile. The length of time your bion will last depends on how you use it. For instance, psychological abuse can cause an analogue to experience stress and lessened self esteem, possibly resulting in a poor diet, lack of exercise and, in extreme cases, a desire to terminate its usefullness. Thoughtless care can use up your analogues will to function as desired and result in unfortunate social interaction, unsatisfactory responsiveness and prolonged and sometimes permanent absenses.
